On Saturday morning, March 23, 2013 Mr. Raymond P. Moore was confirmed by the United States Senate to serve as a District Court Judge for the District of Colorado in Denver.   Mr. Moore will fill the vacancy left when former Chief Judge Wiley Y. Daniel took senior status this past January 1st.   Mr. Moore is a 1975 graduate of Yale College and a 1978 graduate of Yale Law School in New Haven, Connecticut.  He started his legal career with the law firm of Davis, Graham, and Stubbs from 1978-1982.  Then from 1982-1986 he served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Colorado.  Thereafter, he returned to Davis, Graham, and Stubbs until 1992 when he resigned his partnership with the firm to take a position with the Federal Public Defender's office.  In January 2004, Mr. Moore was appointed as the Federal Public Defender for the Districts of Colorado and Wyoming; he was subsequently reappointed to this position in 2008 and again in 2012.  Mr. Moore's investiture date will be formally announced at a later date.
